The Mini Scene - and why you should be careful!
On this site we promote what is in the main a healthy fun pastime, running a Mini and joining in with groups and events.
But like all good things there are downsides to watch out for, particularly with big groups run by dick-tators and control freaks (you know who you are).
But it is the smaller units that you have to be aware of, expecially when might contain one poison apple that not only stirs things up in the big groups, but your own “family” unit too, as happened to our webmaster recently. And without mentioning names, one bad apple cost our webmaster a good friendship. Yes he is not entirely innocent as he said a jokey throwaway comment in the heat of the moment, but then the backstabber had to mention it to his close friend who then panicked, ran elsewhere to source an item without giving our webmaster chance to clear things up. That “friend” then lied about where the information came from which meant our webmaster had no choice but to involve others by asking if he’d said anything to them (he hadn’t). So then now the “friend” because of this (which she actually caused by lying) cut our webmaster off completely. Blocked everywhere.
Now, our webmaster had up until that point, been sticking up for his “friend” as people had over some weeks been making unkind comments towards her and her choice of girlfriend (age related) – in fact he had been very vocal about it and has evidence to back this up (because “friend” and her girlfriend don’t believe it) – yet the evidence is there.
So all in all our webmaster has now been cut off by his “friend” even though he has done absolutely nothing wrong.
He’s been caring, supportive, generous and a damn good friend to her. Yet this is how he gets treated?
So, be careful – there are backstabbers in the mini world ready to spoil everything, who then say they themselves are being bullied by others in groups.
Don’t believe it. They are merely playing people off against each other.
Hopefully my “friend” will one day realise that.
